Mark Your Calendars for the 2015 MEGA GLASS CONVENTION
The 2015 NMGCS convention will take place in conjunction with the Mega Glass Convention from July 9 through July 11, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel at Keystone Crossings in Indianpolis, Indiana. The MEGA Glass Convention is a large and complex event in which several different glass clubs have joined together to advance the knowledge and history of glass making. The participants of this MEGA event are: Antique Glass Salt and Sugar Shaker Club, Early American Pattern Glass Society, Vaseline Glass Collectors, Inc., Wave Crest Collectors Club, the National American Glass Club, the National Duncan Glass Society, the National Milk Glass Collectors Society, The West Virginia Museum of American Glass and the National Greentown Glass Association.
There is a registration form that you can download here. The cost of registration is $115.00 per person and the cut-off date is May 15, 2015. The various benefits you receive (banquet meals, educational presentations, etc) in exchange for the registration fee is explained in the registration form. An Auction will be held at the convention. The deadline for submission of your items for consignment to the auction is April 20, 2015. Please send the completed auction consignment form to Bob Culver, 3081 Sand Pebble Cove, Pinckney, MI 48169. You may also email or scan a copy of the form to rculver107@aol.com. The club commemorative is a chocolate bird with berry that is being made by Mosser Glass Company, located in Cambridge, Ohio. The mould being used is the property of the NMGCS. We have only ordered 125 of these special birds so supply will be limited. Orders will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis so get your order in early. Past commemoratives will be available at the convention. Please send your check made out to NMGCC to Marian Lachman, 626 Strumbly Drive, Highland Heights, Ohio 44143-1954. The cost of the 2015 club commemorative is $35.00 each with an additional $9.00 per item shipping if you do not plan on picking your commemorative up at the convention. International and Canadian shipping cost is $16.55.
