Ed Kuhlman

Ed Kuhlman of Northfield, Minnesota has been the auctioneer for the NMGCS convention auction since the Minneapolis, Minnesota convention in 1988.
Ed began his auctioneering career in 1981 after training at the World-Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. He does many types of auctions and specializes in estate, household, antique, and glass auctions.
Prior to attending auctioneering school, Ed earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is currently the co-owner and sales manager of a small engineering business, Phoenix of Northfield, Minnesota.
Ed’s wife Barb received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1994 and is a licensed psychologist with Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota. Ed and Barb have 3 sons. Nathan, and Aaron, are currently living and working in Northfield after graduating from St. Olaf College there. Their youngest son, Peter, is attending Lutheran College in Derorah, Iowa.
